Foreward Privacy Policy
Foreward (the “App”) helps parents and guardians plan and track their child’s development from birth to age 18. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Foreward is intended for use by adults (parents/guardians), not by children.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address when you create an account.
- Child profile information you enter: a child’s first name or nickname, date of birth, ZIP code, selected goals, and chosen journey pathways. You provide this; it is used only to personalize the roadmap shown to you.
- Progress data: which milestones you mark complete and your notification and email-digest preferences.
- Purchase information: if you subscribe to Foreward Pro, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and validated through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, not your full payment-card details.
- Waitlist: if you join a waitlist for an upcoming feature, the email address you submit for that purpose.
- Device information: basic technical data needed to operate the App. Reminders you turn on are scheduled locally on your device.
What we do NOT collect
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, full financial-account numbers, or passwords for third-party services. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising in the App.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalize the App’s milestone roadmap and recommendations.
- To send the reminders and the optional weekly email digest you opt into.
- To process and restore subscription purchases.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
Service providers
We share limited data with vendors who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting; data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- RevenueCat and Google Play — subscription purchase processing and validation.
- Resend — sending the weekly digest email (only if you enable it); the digest includes your child’s first name and age to personalize it.
- Google Maps Platform — when you search for nearby schools, programs, or facilities, we send your ZIP code and search term to Google to return local results. No name, birthdate, or other profile information is sent.
Children’s privacy
Foreward is designed for parents and guardians, not for children, and is not directed to children under 13. Information about a child is entered voluntarily by the parent/guardian who controls the account, is used solely to personalize that account, and can be edited or deleted by the account holder at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Access & edit: view or change your child profile and preferences in the App’s Settings.
- Delete: request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below.
- Notifications & email: turn push notifications and the weekly digest on or off at any time; the digest also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
How to delete your Foreward data
You can request deletion of your Foreward account and all associated data at any time. To do so:
- Email support@goforeward.app from the email address associated with your account.
- Use the subject line “Delete my Foreward account.”
- We will verify the request and delete your data within 30 days and send you confirmation.
What is deleted: your account, email address, child profiles (name, birthdate, zip code, goals, and journeys), milestone progress, and notification preferences. (Action Pack checklist progress is stored only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.)
What may be retained: de-identified or aggregated data that is no longer linked to you, and records we are required to keep by law (for example, transaction records for tax/accounting), retained only as long as legally required.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
California residents
We do not sell or share your personal information (including any information about children) as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We honor access and deletion requests from all users, regardless of state, using the contact details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
